What is the best method to cast on?
For every day sweaters in wool, wool blends or acrylics I prefer the long tail cast on method.

My cast on is always to tight, what should I do?
Use a bigger needle to cast on and continue with the correct size.

How much yarn do I need for a long tailed cast on so I don't run out?
On the length of a 35 cm needle you can cast on anywhere between 15 to 25 stitches, less stitches on bigger yarn and more stitches on smaller yarn.

I started a sweater on a circular needle now it is twisted, is there any way of fixing it?
Unfortunately there isn;t. You will have to start over again. After casting on make sure your cast on isn't twisted before you join. Once you have knitted one round check it again. If you still find it difficult knit the first three rounds flat, back and forth, then join your work in the round. You can always close this tiny whole at the end.

I have trouble casting on with 4 needles what do I do?
Cast on all the stitches on one needle. Start knitting and divide equally on three or four needles. The tiny whole you'll get at the beginning can be fixed with the tail end.
