I am knitting a striped sweater in the round. How can avoid the jogs?
Knit one round in the new colour. In the first stitch of your second round knit in the stitch below, this first stitch will become your last stitch of the second round. Every time you change a colour the round will be moved over by one stitch.
I am doing a rib pattern in stripes. Every time I change the colour my purl stitches are also in two colours. What can I do to avoid this?
Change the colour on the right side and knit the first row. On the second row follow your stripe pattern. By knitting the first row you will avoid the hills and valleys of the purl stitches to be a different colour.
Can I avoid sewing in the tail ends?
You can weave in the tail ends as you knit. Hang on to your tail end with your left thumb and index finger. Insert the right needle as if to knit lay the tail over your right needle knit the stitch as you normally would and bring the tail end back. Do this technique on every second stitch
What is Mosaic knitting?
In Mosaic knitting you only work with one colour at the time. You will get that Fair Isle look by slipping the stitches of the other colour.
