I want to knit a baby blanket and want the blanket to drape and be soft, what do I do?
Use at least two sizes bigger needles than recommended on the label of your yarn.

I seem to be losing stitches in my lace pattern what can I do?
Make sure you always count the stitches on the purl row. Most of the time we forget to do a yarn over.

I am making a funky scarf are there any secrets?
The novelty scarves are best knitted in a garter stitch (knit all rows). You will have to count the stitches on a regular basis because if you drop a stitch you will never find it. To many stitches you can always knit some stitches together.

I knit a scarf in stocking stitch and it curls, could I have done something to prevent it?
To prevent the stocking stitch from curling start with a border of garter stitch or moss stitch and keep the same border on each side of the scarf. A lot of yarns look great knit in a garter stitch.

I dropped a stitch how do I fix it?
If it is a stocking stitch take a crochet hook and pick up the stitch one ladder at the time.

My cable turns the wrong way, how do I fix it?
Let's say you have a 4stitch cable, drop all 4 stitches down to your mistake and re-knit this cable.

My child is starting to knit is there any way to make it easier?
Use a knitting worsted yarn and short (sock needles) 5 mm needles. Children feel more comfortable with short needles. Don’t start with a scarf they will get very discouraged with such an overwhelming project. Simple animals work very well as a first project.
